Romans 4:20-21
20 Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, 21 being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised. NIV

Romans 4:20-21
20 But Abraham never doubted. He believed God, for his faith and trust grew ever stronger, and he praised God for this blessing even before it happened. 21 He was completely sure that God was well able to do anything he promised. TLB

Romans 4:20-21
20 No unbelief or distrust made him waver (doubtingly question) concerning the promise of God, but he grew strong and was empowered by faith as he gave praise and glory to God, 21 Fully satisfied and assured that God was able and mighty to keep His word and to do what He had promised. AMP

Abraham was well aware of the reality regarding his situation. He knew he was old. He knew Sarah was old. He knew that men his age did not as a rule father children and women Sarah’s age did not conceive and give birth to children. Yet, he had to make a choice. He chose to ignore what his natural mind told him and embrace the promise that God had given him. He decided to stand firm and resist doubt and unbelief, totally trusting in and relying upon God. He strengthened that faith by giving God praise and glory. As a result of standing firm and praising God, he was absolutely satisfied, assured, and fully expected the promise to manifest because of his recognition of the power and ability of God.

There are times in our lives when we have to let go of what the facts may dictate and cling to what the truth mandates. The truth is God is does not make empty, false, misleading promises. The truth is He will do what He said He will do. You have to purpose in your heart that you are not only going to believe what God says, but give a voice to your belief. Say what He says about your situation. Give Him praise and glory by your actions, your words, and your example of faith and trust to Him. Others will be ministered to and drawn to Him as you walk in faith, fully persuaded that His promise will come to pass in your life. They may know about your situation, but as you walk through the situation, on your way to your promise, they will see you persistently and consistently demonstrating your steadfast faith in God. And the more you praise Him allowing His glory to shine in, on, and through your situation, the stronger your faith will become. It is nothing but a win-win situation! So start claiming your victory. We see here that Abraham praised his way through. Do as the song says, don’t wait until the battle is over, shout NOW!

Be encouraged today. It is not over. The final bell has not rung. God has a great expected end in mind for you. Determine in your heart that you are and will continue to be fully persuaded that God will do what He promised. Do your part and act like it!

Prayer: “Father, thank you for the great examples in the Word of those who chose to believe you and what you promised. I purpose in my heart and will follow through with actions that make it evident that I am indeed, fully persuaded that the victory is mine, thus allowing believers and non-believers alike to witness Your glory shining in, on, and through my situation. Amen”
