Proverbs 11:2

2 When swelling and pride come, then emptiness and shame come also, but with the humble (those who are lowly, who have been pruned or chiseled by trial, and renounce self) are skillful and godly Wisdom and soundness. AMP

Proverbs 13:10

10 By pride and insolence comes only contention, but with the well-advised is skillful and godly Wisdom. AMP

Proverbs 13:13

13 Whoever despises the word and counsel [of God] brings destruction upon himself, but he who [reverently] fears and respects the commandment [of God] is rewarded. AMP

Proverbs 28:26

26 He who leans on, trusts in, and is confident of his own mind and heart is a [self-confident] fool, but he who walks in skillful and godly Wisdom shall be delivered. [James 1:5.] AMP

There is a simple lesson that we can learn from these scriptures. Lose the pride and embrace godly wisdom. Stop trying to figure everything out all by yourself and be open to God’s wisdom.

If we are getting frustrated, trying to figure out how to get out of certain situations, circumstances, and dilemmas the solution may be very simple. We need to make sure we are not trying to figure things out on our own. We cannot be so prideful, so bent on doing things our way that we ignore the wisdom of God. No matter how many accolades, degrees, acknowledgements that have been bestowed upon you by man, you are still a fool if you choose to rely on what you know, who you know, and how you’ve always done it to bring about a change.

I don’t know about you, but I would really like to know that not only is deliverance possible but it is also promised. If we will simply make the choice to walk in skillful and godly wisdom we will open the door to deliverance from circumstances, predicaments, and obstacles that the enemy may have orchestrated to get us off track. God loves us so much that He will even deliver us out of our own messes we’ve made.

Let’s not be like the children of Israel and keep wandering around needlessly because we want to do things our way. Today make the decision to choose to believe God -- believe His Word, act on His Word, and watch His Word manifest in our lives. We must make sure we are not limiting God by constantly trying to do things our way. Let’s remain open to hear instructions that provide us the wisdom we need. Take the limits off of God, allow Him to stretch you. Step out of your comfort zone, rely totally on Him and then see the awesome things that He has been waiting to do for you.

Prayer: “Father, I help me to recognize areas where I need to release everything to you. I desire to take toe limits off and allow you to be the guide with the wisdom that you have already made available to me. Amen”
